Fun without Skis |

Grandma and Grandpa Oliver sent some awesome snow toys west.. With the abundant snow this year, the kids were quickly able to put them to good use. |

The snow block mo(u)lds made some excellent blocks for
snow fort walls.

Snowball tongs ensured perfectly round and dense
snowballs. Great for throwing, not so great for "receiving". Thankfully there were no snowball tears. |

Dad got to try out the continuous 6fps shooting mode on the Digital SLR. Bruce was more than happy to create some motion for capture, practicing his throws. | ||

When everyone had rosy cheeks, wet gloves, and an
appetite for a snack, it was time to head back in, leaving their creations
for another day. Unfortunately it snowed 20cm the next day and most of their work was buried! (Of course the ski crowd had a different take on the value of a 20cm dump :) ) |
