How to Meet Expat Friends

First, have your friends move somewhere that's just a little too far to visit. Make sure they are the adventurous type, willing to travel even with two small children and one more on the way.

Then, rent a house halfway in between and get them to meet you there!

This gang is always up for adventure -- including old not-quite-restored castles.
Bruce loved having his old friend Callie to play with, and even tolerated her little brother, Elliot.
