Mont St. Michel

Well, when in Normandy, be sure to see this site. Everyone said so, so off we went.

What they forgot to say: Don't pick the hottest day of the heat wave!! There was no escaping that constant, beating sun. 40C in the parking lot when we arrived (that's mucho hot in Fahrenheit!)

Poor Bruce overheated and we had to pour water on his head to cool him. Amazingly, when we got into the abbey on the summit, it was actually cool and Bruce did fine from then on.

We had lots of time to ponder the different views on the approach, as we lined up behind everyone else with the same idea.

 
But once there, we were amazed, and it was well worth the trip.
