Normandy Beaches

Wow, we had a great time on the beaches here. Huge expanses of sand, a few waves to play in, and lots of tide range to attack our sand castles.

Here, Dave and my brother send all three boys (Bruce & my nephews) off for a bout of body surfing.

The dunes and flat tidal sand went on forever. This beach was our favorite, just up the coast, with very little civilization around.

Nearer the house, the closest beach had more rocks, which made for fun exploring at low tide.
On one of our last days in France, the three of us set up camp near the dunes, kept up our energy with saucisses and baguettes, and played in the sand and water all day.

A great place for a beach holiday!
