Normandy 2003

After Paris, we headed northwest to the Normandy coast, where we'd rented this house in Barneville.

Here we are, getting ready for another day on the beach. Bruce is lathering himself with sunscreen, while I've gathered towels.
Our mornings started with Dave heading on his bike to the local bakery for some fresh bread and croissants.

After coffee and pastries of the day, we'd take the baguettes to the beach or outing.

On one of his exploratory bike rides, Dave found this old windmill base. The structure was well intact, and there were two others close by.

Trying to find it again by car was the challenge!
Imagine my shock when I saw this name, the same one as my 10th-great grandmother's, right in Barneville!
