Rouen, Normandy

Rouen was the genealogy part of the tour. Since many of the ancestors I've tracked seemed to be from this region, I wanted to have a look.

What we found was a section of town that looked like it hadn't changed since my ancestors left in the 1600s!

The half-timbers were amazing: in good shape, definitely real!

 
Here's a tempting little passage! I can just picture horses being led through here after a long journey.
