Christmas at the Mountain House

We convinced some of our respective families to join us for the holidays in the mountains, making sure our new getaway was in working order.

Was it a worthwhile trip? The view of the sunrise on the Winter Solstice is pretty convincing!

We had a gorgeous week there, demanding a gondola ride to the top of the mountain for all, skiing and non-skiing folk alike.

This shot, facing West, is only a smidgeon of what we could see in all directions -- mountain peaks after snowy mountain peaks, in all directions.
One of Dave's triumphs while we were there was to find the ski-out route, straight to our driveway. Saved him about 40 minutes, making it that much sooner to spell Mama on the Brucie watch.
