After much flight research, we decided this year to take the plunge and visit
Dave's folks in Barbados. After a red-eye connecting in Charlotte NC, we
arrived at our rented apartment, the Inchcape resort on the south
part of the island. Here, Bruce is heading back to the compound, seen in the distance. |

Our front porch included this welcome hammock that got a good workout during the week.

We never did try the hammock out on the grounds. Most likely best as everything to the front of the property is constantly being coated by the salt spray from the waves crashing on the rocks. A couple of days, we even witnessed the waves sending plumes of water even higher than this structure. | ||

Inside we had a good bit of room, but again had to manage airflow due to the salt spray. Even the TV required special care: it is in the background under a canvas cover. According to the owner, they last about a year with this protection instead of just a few months. | ||
