The Loft

Up above the new single garage is a (very) multipurpose room that is already being put to work.

Facing north, it's a studio for Liz, with flat files for paper and projects, a sink for cleanup, and lots of light. 
To the left, facing west, is the library part of the room, where I might just have enough shelves for a few months.
To the right, facing east and over the family room, are the toy shelves.

I love hanging up here with Bruce while he plays and I paint.

The conversation opener "Mama painting. Brucie painting?" has led to some interesting creations already!

Finally, on the south side of the room are some chairs for hanging out, reading, and staying out of the way of the flying toys.
