Biking 2003

In preparation for this year's challenge, the Tour de Blast, Dave bought a made-to-order bike. Here, Bill Davidson, the designer, is making last-minute adjustments.

There are two interesting things about the bike. First, it actually works with Dave's leg length and height! Second, it's completely transportable, breaking down to fit into its own suitcase thanks to special couplers that allow the frame to be split in 2.
Here's most of the bike, broken down and ready for vacation. Dave has spent a good bit of time perfecting the storage breakdown. Hopefully when he has to do this for real this summer a working bike will rise from this jumbled mess!
