Dave Does 39 in Style

Dave's birthday up at Whistler was a great time. Lots of good skiing that week as well as fun for the kids.

Here Dave decided to get a better view of Bruce's ski school parade run by hitching a ride with Kirk. Needless to say, this is an amazing shot for 2 reasons. First there were no major casualties from this bonehead move, and second it is photographic proof of Kirk on something other than a snowboard.

Here is Dave doing his 90th turn down the ski-out run to the house. The ski out would be classified as a black diamond under most conditions, and it's tough to scrub speed before the precipitous drop down to the road at the end.

Dave's solution is to turn often and go slow.

And just for comparison, and for historical purposes: Andre in an actual snowplow!

This would be Andre's 6th turn down the ski out run to the house. Andre being a) crazy and b) a much better skier than Dave, chooses the bomb-the-ski-out-run-for-fun method. But then he still has to deal with the "Whoa down, big fella" problem at the end of the run, thus the snow plow.
